    Production, shipping, and remedies

    Know the sequence before ordering.

    1

    Production

Production time and carrier transit time are separate. Most standard orders are produced within 24 hours. Large, custom, or file-dependent jobs can require additional time, and weekends or holidays can change the schedule.

    2

    Carrier transit

Free next-day air describes carrier transit after production is complete. Delivery dates are estimates, and destination, carrier, weekend, holiday, quantity, or custom-job restrictions can apply.

    Damage or production defects

Custom products cannot be returned. Report verified damage or a production defect within five business days of receipt with the order number and photos. Eligible claims are resolved with a reprint rather than a refund.

    Changes and cancellations

Review the order carefully before payment. Once a final order is submitted, it cannot be cancelled or modified because production can begin immediately.

    Product limitations

    • Orders over 1,000 square feet require a custom quote and may need additional production time.
    • Production time is separate from carrier transit time.
    • Color on a screen can differ from printed output because screens use emitted RGB light and printing uses ink.

    Installation and care

    • Choose attachment options for the intended mounting method before checkout.
    • Use enough attachment points to distribute wind load; mesh is the available wind-permeable material option.
    • Store dry, clean, and loosely rolled rather than sharply folded when the banner is not in use.

    Chicago banner planning

Design for convention scale, neighborhood identity, and lakefront exposure.

A banner that works inside McCormick Place is not automatically right for a lakefront fence, a South Loop opening, a school gym, or a neighborhood street festival.

McCormick Place and South Loop exhibitions

McCormick Place anchors Chicago’s convention activity near the South Loop, Bronzeville, Chinatown, and the lakefront. Large exhibits need a hierarchy of booth identity, product promise, sponsor recognition, and wayfinding that remains clear across wide aisles and crowded halls.

    • Build the layout from the organizer’s confirmed dimensions and sight lines.
    • Coordinate hanging, rigging, fire-safety, union, and move-in requirements early.
    • Pack by booth zone and keep a setup map with the graphics shipment.

Grant Park, lakefront, and outdoor festivals

Grant Park, the lakefront, neighborhood festivals, races, and public programs create exposed settings with large crowds and rapidly changing weather. Mesh can reduce wind load on approved fence installations, while solid vinyl delivers stronger opacity for protected stages, tents, and sponsor walls.

    • Never treat mesh as permission to ignore wind limits or event safety plans.
    • Use short zone names and oversized arrows for moving crowds.
    • Remove or secure displays when event staff or forecasts call for severe weather.

    Chicago neighborhoods and storefronts

Chicago’s business districts—from the Loop and River North to Pilsen, Hyde Park, Wicker Park, and neighborhood commercial corridors—have distinct architecture, audiences, and property controls. Grand-opening and restaurant banners should state one timely message without covering windows or creating visual clutter.

    • Check landlord, ward, district, and city sign requirements for the exact address.
    • Use bilingual or multilingual copy when the business audience calls for it.
    • Judge type size from across the street, not only from a design screen.

Schools, churches, nonprofits, and job sites

Chicago Public Schools, universities, faith communities, nonprofits, sports leagues, and construction teams use banners for enrollment, performances, outreach, safety, recruiting, and community events. These audiences benefit from straightforward information and durable, repeatable systems.

    • Keep required safety language separate from marketing content.
    • Use date-free designs for annual programs and recurring services.
    • Select heavier vinyl for repeated handling only when the mounting structure can support it.

    Questions before ordering

    Chicago Vinyl Banner FAQs.

Do you ship vinyl banners to Chicago, IL?

Yes. Orders can be shipped to Chicago, IL. Production time and carrier transit time are separate. Most standard orders are produced within 24 hours. Large, custom, or file-dependent jobs can require additional time, and weekends or holidays can change the schedule. Free next-day air describes carrier transit after production is complete. Delivery dates are estimates, and destination, carrier, weekend, holiday, quantity, or custom-job restrictions can apply.

What banner material works near the Chicago lakefront?

For approved, exposed fence placements, mesh is often the better starting point because air can pass through it. Protected stages and walls may benefit from solid vinyl’s opacity. Follow venue wind limits and remove banners when severe weather is expected.

Can you print banners for McCormick Place exhibitors?

Yes. Confirm the booth dimensions, hanging and rigging rules, fire-safety requirements, labor arrangements, and move-in schedule before ordering.

How should a Chicago storefront banner be designed?

Use one headline, the business name, a date or offer if needed, and one next step. Check the exact property and city requirements before installation, especially in districts with additional design or preservation controls.

Can a Chicago school or nonprofit reuse a banner?

Yes. Use a date-free event name, durable finishing, and a layout with room for temporary supplemental signs. Store the banner dry and rolled between uses.
